The “unofficial” cassette from which these tracks came seems to be very rare, with hardly any details online. I picked it up in the early 1980s, and it must have been released 1982 at the latest.

The BBC tracks on side 1 have been officially released with a corrected date of June 1 1978, and the “Marc” performance has its video on YouTube already.

The Boston recording however has apparently been sought after, so here it is! Or at least the portion of it that appeared on this tape. There are 2 extra songs from the US at the end (not 3 as the insert states). No further details are given, though maybe they are better known to Jam fans?

It’s all rough and ready, and real.

I’m now expecting a comment or two from people saying this is neither folk rock or Australian rock, and missing that crucial other word at the end of the channel name. 🙂
