Around 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Houston, near Sugar Land, Texas, lies a regional shopping center called First Colony Mall. The mall debuted on March 14, 1996, and it was most recently enlarged in 2006. It is situated south of the crossroads of Interstate 69/U.S. Route 59 and State Highway 6. Brookfield Properties is the owner of the First Colony Mall. Macy’s, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and two Dillard’s are the anchor retailers.
