Apple responds
Apple says it removed some parental control apps from its App Store as “they put users’ privacy and security at risk.” The tech giant refuted claims by The New York Times that it had removed or restricted at least 11 of the 17 most downloaded apps to prevent iPhone addiction over the past year because of competition.

Homeownership Drops
The rate of homeownership in the U.S. fell in the first quarter of 2019 for the first time in two years. The decline signals that the housing market recovery has likely stalled, with the ownership rate dropping to 64.2% from 64.8%, The Wall Street Journal reports.
