Take a trip back in time and explore one of the grandest theaters of it’s time the Palace Theater of Gary, Indiana. Designed by famous theater architect John Eberson in 1924 and completed 1 year later it was designed to resemble a Spanish Garden of a Palace under the Summer Night Sky.

Featuring everything from vaudeville acts to live plays and motion pictures the theater operated for almost 50 years before closing in 1972 and has sat vacant ever since. Enjoy this look back with some exclusive photos from 1925 after the theater was constructed.
